My credit score, after terrible divorce, was down to the upper 500s, but within 1 1/2 years of paying bills and payment arrangements on time, my credit score is now in the mid 700s! It's not as hard as I thought to repair my credit.
Congratulations Terry C., what an accomplishment. Many times as a divorcee one individual is left or bears the brunt of paying the accumulated debt and it affects our credit score. At the time there does not appear to be a light at the end of the tunnel, but after having experienced a downward spiral credit score after my divorce I was able to increase my score and buy a home. Hard work pays off.
Yes most definitely hard work does pay off.when I finally started paying attention to my score I was in the mid hundreds. Now I'm just shy of 7 hundred.. Christmas set me back some , but I'm paying off my debt little by little.
I joined a debt management place that takes money out every month and distributes it to each credit company that i owe to. It’s easier for me than having to send money separately to each one.
