No matter how crappy my life got there was always one thing that I made sure was taken care of. My credit. for the first time ever I have not only missed a payment but I have missed all of the payments for my cards. I am now in a financial downward spiral and have no idea how to get out

Try not to panic, it will be ok. Things will eventually get better. You just need to take things one day at a time and do what you can to fix it.
