I was finally able to use my own home bank checking and savings account instead of PayPal … so you should be able to as well
Yes, I previously had my Simple checking account linked.

You can add both but it only saves the money on savings so you can earn more
Nice to have so you won't go over budget
Yes, you can link a checking account but in order to earn points for saving you could not spend out of that account as it would cancel your savings.
