Has anyone tried out Kakeibo, a Japanese method for saving money? There are books available on it, and it has to do with "mindful spending".

Interesting… I’ve read “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up” which details a method for decluttering. The book is by Marie Kondo who is a Japanese professional organizer. Makes sense there would also be a mindful method for spending. Would definitely like to look into this more and see if there are similarities with the decluttering methodology.

Japanese have a number of good ideas, they almost have to as their foodvis a lot higher priced than in the US
