This is my first time filing taxes as a self-employed independent hair stylist. I do have one dependent, but have no idea where I should look to file my taxes. What is the best way for me to go about this with my expenses, deductions etc?
If you go to the IRS website they have publications you can read that tell you step by step what you need and how to do it. I searched either independent contractor or self employment publications. (Publication 334 is one I know for small business) They also have a nice new read on gig workers and what they consider to be gig work.
